Advanced Flow Systems (AFS) includes the Liquid Controls and Corken branded products that make fluid transfer safe, accurate, and efficient. Liquid Controls primarily provide metering, fluid handling and data ecosystem for truck-based custody transfer of highly valuable fuels. They have product solutions to support other downstream oil & gas custody transfer applications as well. Corken offers a wide variety of industrial compression and pumping solutions for the process, energy, and transport industries. AFS is headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK and sales/service office in Chicago, IL and an employee base of approximately 220+. This position is a developmental opportunity for a high-energy, customer-focused technical service/support professional to join AFS (Liquid Controls) and learn about our world-class products and processes, potentially leading to expanded roles within the organization.

  • Provide technical support for customers (via phone, email and/or in person), including repairs and calibrations of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and system failures.
  • Provide on-site service and training as required.
  • Take ownership of customer issues, document customer complaints and follow problems through to resolution while ensuring root cause analysis provides appropriate sustainable countermeasure(s).
  • Ensure all RMAs are processed in a timely fashion in order to meet department goals and customer expectations.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of product failures.
  • Report findings, trends, and corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Maintain a database of product failures.
  • Maintain knowledge of departmental library of all technical product literature and keep abreast of any product changes.
  • Participate in special projects including new product development support, as assigned.
  • Perform Service-related travel as needed based on product experience.
  • Follow all IDEX and AFS corporate policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Be knowledgeable on safety procedures around the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Build/maintain Product Demo and tradeshow equipment as requested.
  • Any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Manager.
  • 2-year Associate's degree (or equivalent) in mechanical/electrical/industrial discipline.
  • 2+ years' experience in fluidics, flow meters or related industry is preferred.
  • Computer literate, preferably Microsoft Office skilled.
  • Customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Action oriented and self-motivated.
  • Problem solver.
  • Detail minded and organized with a drive for results.
  • One to two years prior experience as a service engineer or technician - prefer industry related.
