Service Technician - Sarasota

About the position

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is one of the largest commercial kitchen equipment repair service companies in the Southeast comprised of over 600 employees located across 31 geographically dispersed locations. We are hiring immediately and offer a sign-on bonus for qualified service technicians. This position involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Properly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or HVAC.
• Communicates repair status updates with customer and branch office.
• Communicate parts order(s) with branch.
• Completes service calls accurately and in a timely manner.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms consistent with Whaley standards and safety first.
• Meet on-call requirements.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• 1 Year of applicable experience in at least one skill set: commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or commercial HVAC.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification.
