About The Position

Position summary: Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing various material handling equipment on customers’ premises – meeting and exceeding customer’s expectations. General Purpose: To support our company mission to install new and service existing customers’ equipment professionally with the least amount of down time possible.

Requirements

  • Must maintain excellent rapport with customers.
  • Must stay current with technical knowledge on products we support.
  • Must be a good communicator – written and verbal.
  • Must ensure we use “safety” in all activities encountered throughout the day.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed to satisfy the customer, to include off-hours emergency calls.
  • Must have two years of electronic training or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Prior experience repairing or servicing field-installed equipment with very good skills and experience in repairing equipment.
  • Time management, the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer proficiency and laptop fundamentals.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must be certified to operate material handling equipment (we can provide certification).
  • Commitment to company vision and mission.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all jobs assigned to you.
  • Communicate with Service & Installation Manager on any unusual problems encountered or for any technical assistance needed.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork daily for jobs worked on (time cards, maintenance reports with customers’ signature). Paperwork must be completed at job site before leaving for the next job, or going home.
  • Attend service training classes offered to maintain knowledge on new products, or for refreshers on products not encountered too often. Must successfully complete any training courses required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with account managers to keep them informed of sales opportunities you might see.
  • Travel to customer sites including overnight travel, as needed.
  • Assist, guide and mentor any new techs or installers hired by Wolter or hired as outside contractors for certain projects.
  • Perform projects as requested by Service & Installation Manager or General Manager.
