Service technicians are responsible for providing different services, depending on their area of expertise, and diagnosing problems and making repairs.

Requirements

  • Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and diagrams.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills.
  • Working knowledge of equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and priorities.
  • Solid understanding of A/V production equipment and functionality
  • 1-2 years of experience working with A/V equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Identify electronic/mechanical problems by use of diagnostic equipment.
  • Test and verify sub-assemblies and major system components.
  • Test, repair and maintain PRG equipment using set company procedures and guidelines.
  • Recalibrate and verify factory manufacturing specifications for pertinent equipment.
  • Reviews part stock levels with Technical services manager.
  • Intermediate understanding of control software and operation.
  • Maintains and enters all factory acceptance testing and QC documentation.
  • Maintains accurate parts lists for all related equipment.
  • Ensures maintenance policies and procedures are met and related paperwork is in order.
  • Ensures all equipment QC deadlines are met.
  • Leads in internal training with entry level personnel.
  • Cross-trains to assist in different departments as required.
  • Leads by example and encourages subordinates and peers to perform work in a safe manner, including the use of proper PPE, adherence to safety standards and policies, and remain accident free.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned or directed.
