About The Position

Under close supervision, following specific instructions, provides quality service in a timely and accurate manner on tools, while always maintaining safety standards.

Requirements

  • Entry-level position requiring electro/mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Good customer service skills and established rapport with Makita customers.
  • Good knowledge of power tools and applications.
  • Notify customers of repair estimates, completed repairs, and orders ready for pick up.
  • Ability to follow instructions and follow through with those instructions.
  • Ability to manage time to complete the assigned work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to changes in workload requirements.
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to multitask daily.
  • Ability to diagnose basic tool problems and repair small portable, non-complex tools.
  • Understands and utilizes all Makita test equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma / GED, or equivalent years of Experience to exhibit the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion of any of these requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal technical training from accredited schools, trade schools, seminars, or military preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Embraces and promotes brand values while delivering customer care principles.
  • Assists in maintaining the appearance of the facility in a professional, clean, and organized manner, consistent with Makita’s brand image, daily.
  • Read and understand repair procedures contained within Makita’s Service Information. Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Ability to create, edit, and complete repair and sales invoices in the computer. Prepare tools and part orders for shipment as required.
  • Ability to assist in managing parts inventory accurately. Assist in physical inventory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
