The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and optimizing mechanical and electrical systems to ensure reliable daily operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment failure analysis while also managing key on‑site service activities such as inventory, system testing, pump repair, automation installs, and overall system optimization. Success in this position requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, solid problem‑solving skills, the ability to work safely in an industrial environment, and a dependable, self‑motivated work style. The technician must be comfortable interpreting data, communicating effectively, and supporting a team‑oriented, safety‑focused operation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment, including exposure to heat, cold, and industrial noise.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to interpret data and make system adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and self‑motivation.
  • High level of safety awareness, including the ability to complete safety training, follow safety protocols, and work in a safety‑focused manner.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance availability, capability, and overall yield.
  • Conduct equipment failure analyses, including both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports documenting equipment modifications, maintenance procedures, and performance findings.
  • Manage daily service activities including: Inventory management Routine system testing Pump repair and replacement Automation installations System optimization Troubleshooting across all equipment and components
