About The Position

As a Service Technician I at Stanley Black & Decker, you will be part of the Product Services team, responsible for handling repairs and maintenance of portable electric and pneumatic tools, light construction equipment, and outdoor products. Requirements

• Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data.
• Knowledge of electricity principles and airflow as it applies to power sources for power tools.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Goal-driven mentality with a focus on meeting productivity goals without sacrificing quality.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a similar technical role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle simple repairs to portable electric and pneumatic tools, light construction equipment, and outdoor products.
• Troubleshoot tool failures by disassembling units to examine components for wear or defects and replacing parts as necessary.
• Assist with the maintenance of shop equipment and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation prior to use and return tools in good condition to the appropriate storage area after use.
• Complete work orders using repair parts and labor, including pricing and pertinent customer information.
• Manage inventory by ensuring accuracy with parts and accessories.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
