About The Position

The Service Technician I is often a recent graduate from an accredited trade school entering the field of HVAC service and repair and/or has 3 or less years of experience in the field. The Service Technician I position is qualified and able to make repairs in the field but is not considered proficient enough to make diagnosis for the repairs unsupervised. The Service Technician I is expected to be proficient in the area of preventative maintenance work. Attitude, work ethic, and a willingness to learn is sought after more than skill level in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct HVAC preventative maintenance work as assigned.
  • With supervision, assist with the servicing of HVAC products and equipment.
  • Provide all information from each service call to the dispatcher before leaving job site and document work by accurately completing paperwork and maintaining files.
  • Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
  • Displays team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime, on-call rotation and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
