Service Technician I
About The Position
The Service Technician installs, maintains, and repairs water distribution, while collecting samples to ensure compliance with State, EPA and OSHA regulations. They will maintain, repair, and operate the sanitary sewer lift stations. Key duties include monitoring water quality, operating pumps, performing repairs, cleaning sewer lines, checking pumpstations and maintaining accurate detailed records. Also responding to after-hours emergencies, being on-call, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Envirolink, Inc. is a drug-free work place. Initial and random drug testing is required. Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check. Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Requirements
- US Citizen. E-Verification required
- No felonies or major misdemeanors
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in field operations programs
- Possess NC C-Distribution Water Treatment Certification or must be willing to obtain C-Distribution Certification within one year of hire
- Possess NC Grade 1 Collections Wastewater Treatment Certification or must be willing to obtain a Grade 1 Certification within one year of hire
- Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
- Excellent communication skills required including demonstrated fluency with reading, writing and speaking the English language
- Readily accessible by phone with ability to work "on-call" for emergencies
