About The Position

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is looking for an experienced Shop Technician / HD Mechanic with expertise in utility trucks, diesel engines, and related equipment. This leadership role supports our Service and Operations Managers by providing training, coaching, and hands-on mentorship in the shop.

We’re seeking a strong leader who can guide and develop a team, ensuring quality service and efficiency. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus!

CTOS equipment includes Utility Trucks & Equipment, Boom, Bucket, Digger Derricks.
Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with overtime as needed.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and mechanics tools.
CTOS offers pay based on experience, healthcare, 401K match, 2 weeks Vacation, 1 week Sick and 10 paid Holidays annually and more.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must have your own tools.
• Physical effort to move objects and tools; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling and a high level of dexterity.
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment. (construction, farm, military)
• General mechanical aptitude / knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm, or truck
• Basic Computer skills and ability to document repair activity.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
• 3 plus years maintenance and repair of Utility Trucks and Equipment.
• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must have your own tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
• Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, and background in hydraulics and electrical.
• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
• Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
• Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
• Other duties as required.
