Service Technician - Hand Tool Repair
About The Position

We’re hiring a Service Technician who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and supporting customers with expert tool service repair. This role is essential to maintaining SouthernCarlson’s high standards of service by ensuring customer tools operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Requirements
- Experience repairing pneumatic, electric, or construction power tools preferred
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills
- Construction, industrial supply, or related industry experience a plus
- Customer-first mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Basic computer proficiency
- High school diploma or GED required
- Willingness to learn and retain technical product knowledge

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic and electric power tools (nail guns, staple guns, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure tools meet safety and performance standards
- Provide hands-on training to customers on proper tool operation and care
- Process service orders, parts requests, and required documentation accurately
- Partner with sales and operations teams to resolve customer issues
- Assist with customer orders and counter support as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service area
- Deliver friendly, professional, and solutions-focused customer service
