About The Position
KenMor Electric Company is an established electrical contractor known for its expertise in large-scale construction projects. The company is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Service Technician to join its Houston team. This position involves working in a fast-paced construction environment, where the technician will service a variety of large commercial projects. The ideal candidate will embody the KenMor standard of excellence, striving to meet and exceed organizational objectives while supporting fiscal responsibility. Safety is paramount, and the technician must demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a secure work environment. The Electrical Service Technician will be responsible for understanding and adhering to various electrical codes, including NEC, NEMA, NFPA, and OSHA compliance. The role includes assisting production areas with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment, identifying root causes of recurring downtime, and providing troubleshooting assistance for equipment issues. The technician will maintain project and equipment files, including as-built drawings and spare parts documentation, and will integrate new components or systems such as instruments, controls, machines, and electrical systems. Additionally, the technician will plan the fabrication of panels and equipment for system improvements, coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements, and research products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software to resolve operational issues. The technician will also be expected to comply with all company policies and procedures and perform special projects as assigned to support the organization.
