The Service Technician/DOT Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery, setup and repair of merchandise in the customers' home. The Service Tech/Driver is expected to perform the necessary functions in a safe and professional manner, while staying on schedule to meet our customers' expectations.

  • Operate the delivery vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Set up furniture and securing goods as needed.
  • Maintain high performance levels by keeping within the customer time window.
  • Accurately communicate and document the delivery transaction using either a mobile device or the provided paperwork.
  • Unload or load product as needed at stores or warehouse.
  • Visit customer's residence and repair merchandise (Furniture, Upholstery, Cabinets, Leather etc.).
  • Evaluate furniture repairs and action needed to satisfy our customers.
  • Assist in the warehouse or showroom if needed.
  • In home furniture repair including wood, leather and upholstery.
  • Represent Havertys Furniture professionally while visiting the Customers home and inspecting their furniture.
  • Inspect, repair furniture and help to resolve the Customers Furniture related issue.
  • Responsible for accurate on-site home report to Customer Service.
  • Inspect and keep tools in good condition.
  • Are 18 years old, or older.
  • Able to achieve DOT Certification (company paid).
  • Able to pass Background requirements.
  • Have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record with minimal moving violations.
  • Willing and able to push, pull, and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds throughout your shift.
  • Have 1 or more years of delivery experience (preferred).
