About The Position

Reeder Distributors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial car wash systems and equipment. This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of direct, hands-on experience working on commercial car wash equipment. This position is ideal for a highly skilled, field-based technician who can independently diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. You will play a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime, maintaining system performance, and delivering reliable, high-quality service to our customers. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, values safety, and wants to be part of a team that prioritizes quality, accountability, and long-term relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience servicing commercial car wash equipment is required
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical repair
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work outdoors in various conditions
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety

  • Control wiring experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, routine service, and preventative maintenance on commercial car wash systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
  • Troubleshoot system failures quickly to minimize customer downtime
  • Install, adjust, and calibrate new equipment and replacement parts
  • Monitor and repair chemical delivery systems, including pumps, hoses, and valves
  • Respond to service calls and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Communicate with customers on-site, providing updates, guidance, and basic equipment training
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by addressing concerns, identifying solutions, and recommending system improvements
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including service reports, work orders, and service logs
  • Follow all safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company procedures, including proper use of PPE
  • Safeguard company equipment, tools, and customer property at all times
  • Maintain and inspect company service vehicle on a regular basis
  • Assist in training and supporting other technicians as needed
  • Provide updates on service work and communicate progress with internal teams
