The Service Technician Apprentice is foundational in the field of technical services and support. This position serves as an entry-level gateway for individuals aspiring to build a career in technical maintenance, repair, and customer service. The apprentice works under the guidance of experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience and acquiring the essential skills needed to excel in the industry. Duties/Responsibilities: Work closely with seasoned technicians to understand the intricacies of technical service and repair. This includes shadowing senior technicians during service calls, observing diagnostic procedures, and performing basic tasks as directed. Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks on various equipment and systems. This encompasses checking, cleaning, and servicing components to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Assist in identifying problems with equipment or systems while utilizing diagnostic tools and following systematic approaches to pinpoint issues. Interact with customers during service calls to explain the nature of the problem, the steps being taken to fix it, and providing general maintenance advice. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed. This includes filling out service reports, logging parts used, and updating service histories. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. This involves wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety procedures. Learn to properly use and maintain the tools and equipment necessary for technical services. This includes regular checks and ensuring tools are in good working condition. Other duties as assigned
