We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer/Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and construction, with experience in both high and low voltage systems. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar panel systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an electrician or in a related field, with a focus on commercial projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety practices in electrical installations.
  • Experience reading blueprints and schematics effectively.
  • Background in roofing or construction is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for installation tasks.
  • Ability to work at heights safely and effectively on rooftops or elevated structures.
  • Previous experience working on construction sites is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of plumbing systems is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and ground -mounted systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand installation requirements.
  • Perform electrical work including fixture installation, wiring, and connection of solar systems to the grid.
  • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installation.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as forklifts to complete installations.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high -quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation or maintenance.
