POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automotive Electrical Diagnostic Technician to join our Service Department. This role is focused on advanced electrical troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and repair of modernized classic vehicles. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in automotive electronics, a methodical diagnostic approach, and pride in precision craftsmanship.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional automotive electrical diagnostic experience
  • Expert-level automotive electrical diagnostic capability
  • Strong understanding of vehicle network communication systems
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and electronic testing tools
  • Ability to read and interpret complex wiring schematics
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and workmanship quality
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to stand, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Manual dexterity for precise electrical repair work
  • Visual acuity for inspecting wiring and electronic components

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school or associate degree in Automotive Technology or related field preferred
  • ASE Certification in Electrical/Electronic Systems (A6) strongly preferred
  • Additional ASE certifications or manufacturer training are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced electrical diagnostics using OEM-level scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters
  • Troubleshoot complex wiring, CAN bus networks, sensors, control modules, and integrated systems
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in powertrain, drivability, comfort, and accessory systems
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical service data
  • Execute electrical repairs, harness modifications, and component replacements to company standards
  • Document diagnostic procedures, findings, and repair actions accurately
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on system improvements and root-cause analysis
  • Conduct quality control inspections and functional verification testing
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
