About The Position

Our HVAC - Service Tech Apprentice, assists service technicians in performing routine inspections, testing, repairs, servicing, and planned maintenance of HVAC Systems. The role involves assisting service technicians in the disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance. The apprentice will also assist in diagnosing HVAC equipment performance through observation, testing, and setup as required by position. Proficient operation of hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment is essential. The apprentice will participate in technician on-call/stand-by rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures, purchase materials, and issue purchase order numbers to suppliers. Additionally, the apprentice must safely drive a motor vehicle and trailer, follow company vehicle driving policy, and adhere to all company safety requirements while maintaining equipment, vehicle, and tools.

Requirements

  • Entry-level candidates eager to build a career in HVAC systems.
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships, or relevant experience in HVAC systems or related fields.
  • Craft training in HVAC is preferred.
  • Maintain required registrations, professional licenses, and/or certifications.
  • Proficient in utilizing app-based technologies for efficient workflow.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excel in written and oral communication.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Demonstrate strong business ethics.
  • Present a professional appearance.

Nice To Haves
