Bridge Specialty Group is seeking a Service Team Technical Assistant to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC! Under guidance of a supervisor or manager, the Underwriting Assistant’s primary responsibilities service support for both the commercial and personals departments. How You Will Contribute: Provides administrative support to all departments. Maintains spreadsheets for items such as employee directory, carrier commission changes, and employee license compliance. Directs incoming calls or voicemails to appropriate party. Receives all mail and packages. Scans and distributes all incoming mail. Reviews and forwards all incoming checks to lockbox or return to sender. Reviews and creates tasks for items received in general email boxes. Processes policies, endorsements, audits, notices and other tasks for all Underwriting/Sales Teams. Receives and processes all urgent or missing policy and endorsement requests. Provides reports for policy renewals, invoice checklists and others as needed. Assists Underwriting/Sales teams with issuing non-renewals/conditional renewals as warranted by carrier guidelines. Assists with internal self audits to ensure compliance with states, carriers and Brown & Brown. Performs additional duties as assigned by Profit Center and Service Team Leaders.

Requirements

  • Must acquire state property and casualty agent licenses within 90 days of hire date
  • Minimum education required: High School diploma
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
