About The Position
At El Pollo Loco, a Service Team Member is responsible for ensuring "Best in Class" customer service from start to finish. This role involves greeting guests with a smile, assembling craveable orders, and helping prep fire-grilled favorites. The Service Team Member is the spark behind the scenes, serving up unforgettable experiences by maintaining cleanliness, processing orders efficiently, suggestive selling, and accurately handling payment/cash transactions. The position emphasizes working collaboratively with restaurant team members and management to achieve operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards, all while continuously striving to meet or exceed customer expectations and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Obtain Food Handler Certification promptly upon hire, adhering to EPL policy and state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with restaurant team members and management to achieve operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards.
- Greet and assist customers with their orders in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Continuously strive to meet or exceed customer expectations and satisfaction.
- Assist in preparing food items in strict compliance with company recipes and procedures. May include, but not limited to, the preparation/assembly of various menu items, shredding chicken, preparing salsa/dressing, and condiment packing.
- Process and assemble customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Use suggestive selling to complete the customer experience and increase sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.
