About The Position

As a Store Associate at Michaels in RIO GRANDE, NJ, you will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping our store, and help them find what they're looking for. You will ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience while completing truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store. This includes maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. You will engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, complete enrollments, and educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey. Additionally, you will assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Your responsibilities will also include participating in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes, completing merchandise recovery and maintenance, and ensuring a well-merchandised and in-stock store. You will support shrink and safety programs and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements. Interacting with others in an accepting and respectful manner is essential, as is promoting commitment to the organization's vision and values. You may also be cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production, and will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
  • Promote commitment to the organization's vision and values.
  • Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
