The Service Supervisor – Field drives the success of daily field operations—championing safety, maximizing efficiency, and elevating the customer experience. With direct leadership of field technicians, this role shapes a high‑performance culture, manages staffing and schedules with precision, and oversees all field work and equipment activity to keep the team moving with confidence and purpose. The Service Supervisor ensures work is executed safely, on time, and in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three or more years of field service or rental operations experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce safety compliance across all field activities in accordance with company policies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct safety meetings, job hazard analyses, field audits, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain employee certifications, training records, and compliance documentation.
  • Oversee field service work orders, including scheduling, execution, and closeout.
  • Coordinate job walks to assess scope, manpower, equipment, and safety requirements.
  • Act as an escalation point for field service and customer issues.
  • Manage rental equipment staging, deployment, tracking, and returns.
  • Coordinate equipment scheduling to maximize utilization.
  • Monitor and document equipment damage and coordinate repairs.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including transfers, purchase orders, receivers, installations, exchanges, returns, discrepancies, and damages.
  • Track labor, equipment usage, and material costs per project to accurately determine job profitability.
  • Approve timecards and manage payroll administration, ensuring prevailing wage compliance where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for parts and equipment while resolving discrepancies.
  • Schedule field personnel based on project demand, skill sets, and certifications.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to direct reports.
  • Support onboarding and development of team members.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Fleet, and Service teams.
  • Maintain strong customer communication.
  • Escalate risks and scope changes as needed.
  • Ensure prevailing wage compliance and certified payroll.
  • Maintain organized project documentation.
