About The Position

The primary role of this position is to identify, consult, and sell all aspects of signage service within a defined territory. This role requires consistent night patrolling of defined territory and proactively seeking service-sales opportunities that align with Indigo Signs's service initiative. The incumbent of this position must be proficient in forward-facing customer interface skills coupled with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose signage failures and, in turn, communicate solutions back to the client through service solutions. Additionally, the incumbent must be motivated to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Perform tasks involving physical labor on projects.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude skills related to signage and electrification is preferred.

  • Familiar with the use of bucket and crane trucks.
  • Ability to work under pressure to output high-volume, high-quality work.
  • Proper handling of Hazardous Materials (lamps, neon, and power supply disposal).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong lines of communication with clients, service technician staff, and Service Manager and promptly answer messages/questions.
  • Accurately relay project details to sales staff and customers.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and maintain accurate, written schedules reflecting all service commitments to achieve project deadlines.
  • Consult with sales and install staff, provides accurate estimates of labor time, and sets realistic deadlines.
  • Lead generation, inside sales and account management.
  • Adhere to industry standard safety practices.
  • Operate all tools and equipment according to specified safety requirements.
  • Present and maintain a good driving record.
  • Safely operate all vehicles and promptly report any incidents/infractions.
  • Travel is primarily localized during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and bring issues to the attention of the Foreman, Supervisor, and Human Resources.
