About The Position

Under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager and Project Manager, this position will be primarily responsible for supporting the service project manager by performing the duties listed below. Successful performers in this position will have the ability to develop, maintain and enhance ongoing relationships with Service Customers. This position is designed to develop Service Sales Engineers/ Service Project Managers.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in HVAC.
  • Minimum of 3 years in the HVAC Service Industry with a mid-level understanding of HVAC and Control Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well with a variety of personality types.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple issues.
  • Ability to participate in customer relations issues and find solutions to solve disputes.
  • Good technical knowledge in HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping.
  • Understanding of maximizing the productivity of the technician workforce.
  • Good verbal, written, listening and computer skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare customer proposals including repairs, unit replacements and maintenance contracts, clearly defining scope, exclusions and general conditions.
  • Survey job sites and develop job cost estimates by visiting jobsites or obtaining information from field technicians.
  • Obtain equipment pricing from appropriate vendors.
  • Use multiple software packages to prepare estimates for various work including sheet metal, piping and equipment/parts replacements.
  • Prepare ductwork and piping takeoffs, developing takeoff skills and reading construction drawings.
  • Perform load calculations using third party software to determine cooling and heating requirements.
  • Sell maintenance contracts and develop an understanding of the scope for ACCOCare, ACCOGuard and ACCOServe maintenance contracts.
  • Review all ACCOGuard and ACCOServe work orders to determine if work performed is covered by the contract or is billable.
  • Determine appropriate tasking for a maintenance contract and prepare booking documentation.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships, prospect for future customers, and close sales transactions.
  • Communicate clearly with field personnel about the scope of work for sold jobs and assist in problem solving.
  • Participate in pre-job meetings and maintain business ethics and professional conduct.
