Labcorp seeking a Service Representative Team Lead to join our Service Rep/Courier team in Houston, TX In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring the receipt of customer care specimens, verifying receipt of tissues, perform ride along reviews, and assist in the post route audit process. This position vitally assists the evening supervisor in command and control of all evening activities, to include inbound shipments, specimen integrity, reporting, and auditing. This position will also provide needed coverage when Supervisor or other Team Lead is out. Work Schedule: 2nd shift Monday – Friday 3pm-11:30pm (additional days/hours may be included in this role) Work Location: Houston, TX Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years' old
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize and multi task
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the position
  • Comfortable with handling lab specimens when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Prior logistics/driver experience highly preferred.
  • Current or previous experience with Bio Reference Labs is highly preferred
  • Previous leadership experience within a logistics/warehouse/ or similar environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist logistics supervisor with day to day operations and special projects
  • Coordinate and assign work to the logistics team to ensure proper coverage
  • Ensure all drivers are prepared for their shifts with the necessary supplies
  • Work with dispatcher to provide alternate routes when needed
  • Research, troubleshoot and follow up on internal and external customer inquiries and issues
  • Train new hires and provide on-going training and support to the team
  • Generate and review daily/weekly reports and escalate any issues to leadership
  • Update routes in the database and reconcile route logs on a consistent basis
  • Ensure all equipment and handheld electronic devices are working properly
  • Serve as back-up driver when needed and perform dispatch duties as required
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
