The Service Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with Company requirements, including safety, quality, management, and financial performance standards. The Service Project Manager must plan for, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals while overseeing all aspects of customer delivery from estimating through job completion.

  • Manage high-volume workload averaging from 1-14 days and monitor customer delivery and job installation.
  • Plan for, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
  • Handle same-day, next-day, and emergency issues.
  • Manage customer escalations, urgent or after-hours service events, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Review all job-cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including preparation of invoices, customer collections, and periodic financial reporting to the customer and management.
  • Manage all related quality and safety issues on customer work.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate all phases of the bid process, beginning with estimating and continuing through the final submission.
  • Act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representatives.
  • Ensure rapid responses to customer issues and provide timely updates on job progress.
  • Work with customers to diagnose scope of work and completion timelines.
  • Ensure materials, parts, and access are available so jobs can be completed as scheduled.
  • Manage service jobs from assignment through completion, including scheduling technicians, verifying scopes, verifying parts/truck-stock, and coordinating customer access.
  • Pivot quickly and re-prioritize as job scopes and priorities change.
  • Maintain, documentation and organization through various software programs such as Word, Excel, Microsoft To Do, Trello, Fleetio, ClockShark.
  • Must be able to learn and manage various types of installations such as datacenters, renovations, new builds, etc...
  • Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop safety protocols, and implement project process improvement(s).
  • Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners and interact in a professional manner at all times.
  • Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
  • Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain a Company sponsored American Express Card.
  • Must be able to use the following trade Tools: punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester, 5-gang punch tool, and 24pr dressing tool.
  • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Must have experience in customer interface, such as liaison between the customer and the Company.
  • Must meet company minimum driving qualifications, including maintaining a valid driver's license and appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
  • Prefer experience using products from the following manufacturers: Siemon, CommScope, Corning, Legrand, and Panduit.
  • Prefer a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
