About The Position

The HVAC Service Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all service-related projects within the Charleston office. This role ensures projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Service Project Manager will coordinate with clients, technicians, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service outcomes while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC service project management or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, service practices, and project delivery.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs before they arise.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and foster collaboration.
  • Financial acumen for managing budgets and project profitability.
  • Full-time Salaried Exempt position with standard business hours and occasional extended hours to accommodate client needs.
  • Office-based with frequent field visits to job sites or customer locations.

  • Must be able to climb ladders and work in production environments.
  • Occasionally you may need to lift or move 10-50 pounds.
  • Proper PPE and Safety requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage all HVAC service projects from initiation to completion.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, customer communication and change orders.
  • Collaborate with and support the Estimating Team on project estimates and proposals.
  • Once the project is proposed and closed, the Service Project Manager will take ownership of the project until successful completion.
  • Provide onsite planning and when necessary, field service labor to support the project as required – verify estimated scope, kickoff meetings, project planning, customer meetings, implementation and quality control.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding service projects.
  • Communicate project schedule expectations, site logistics, safety protocols and project closeout with warranty information.
  • Provide regular updates, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Direct and support service project team and subcontractors on project execution.
  • Tracking, receiving and staging all materials and equipment to successfully complete the job.
  • Communicate to the Service Manager and Coordination Team in a planned and well thought out manner the need for labor and support resources to successfully complete the job.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align project goals with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Track and report project performance metrics to leadership – on time, under budget, customer satisfaction.
