About The Position

Pest Control Technicians serve as the primary link between the company and its clients, delivering exceptional customer service. Their role involves traveling to appointments, meeting with customers to diagnose pest issues, and implementing specialized treatment plans both inside and outside homes and businesses. Technicians are also responsible for recommending preventative measures to avoid future pest problems. They contribute to the community by resolving pest challenges, fostering long-term customer relationships, and safeguarding properties.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
Availability to work at least 40 hours per week including some weekends
High school degree or equivalent
Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
Good oral and written communication skills
Solid attention to detail
Ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders and to navigate close quarters
Ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

Deliver extraordinary customer service
Respond to customer’s needs in a professional and timely manner
Physically administer and monitor various pest control measures, indoors and outdoors in potentially hot or cold working environments
Perform physical labor and using a variety of tools/equipment
Establish effective working relationships with customers and co-workers
Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers in the office, verbally and in writing, as needed
Read, understand, and follow labels and SDS forms for hazardous chemicals used during service
Work independently and maintaining your route
Drive a company vehicle safely to customer’s homes and businesses
Use a handheld device to manage services and document structural, sanitation, and pest issues
Follow all proper safety guidelines
Inspect, maintain, and utilize PPE (personal protective equipment)
Maintain working order and cleanliness of assigned company vehicle
Remain up to date on the company’s product and service offerings
Perform other duties as assigned
