About The Position

The position involves communicating the repair process to all parties involved, ensuring continued job progress, and coordinating resources to support the repair process. The goal is to deliver an invoice on the same day that the job is completed. The role requires planning repair jobs, resolving client complaints, managing estimates, and monitoring the repair process. It also involves reviewing client repair history, making policy recommendations, and ensuring timely invoicing. Continuous improvement of service systems and standardizing procedures are key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience as a shop or field technician or demonstrated competency.
  • Minimum 8 years previous experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CAT products sold and serviced.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose repair processes.
  • High proficiency with Empire computer systems and PC software.
  • Excellent mathematical skills for calculations and projections.
  • Strong knowledge of CAT and Empire warranty policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

  • Plan repair jobs through various areas, vendors, and technicians.
  • Coordinate resources to support the repair process.
  • Resolve client complaints on billing and warranty issues.
  • Manage, monitor, and report the accuracy of estimates/quotes for segment repairs.
  • Monitor and communicate the repair process for assigned area.
  • Review client repair history and products or services provided.
  • Make policy and warranty recommendations to supervisors.
  • Monitor and manage each work order daily.
  • Provide a Pro-Forma summary for clients upon job completion.
  • Develop procedures to streamline billing and warranty processes.
  • Standardize and update procedures for reviewing and closing work orders.
  • Assign priorities to open work orders.
  • Ensure all work performed is according to estimate/quote.
  • Submit change-orders for client approval when job scope changes.
  • Brief supervisors and submit reports on monitoring measures.
  • Work safely and adhere to all safety policies.
