The Security Data & Logging Service Owner at NBCUniversal is responsible for developing and implementing a data strategy that aligns with the Cyber Security goals of the organization. This role involves managing the full product lifecycle, engaging with stakeholders, and building service offerings that transform data into actionable security insights. The Service Owner will collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional partners to ensure the delivery of impactful security solutions in a dynamic enterprise environment.

  • Develop, plan, and implement a strategy for evolving the data pipeline, storage, signal, and insight capabilities in support of NBCUniversal's Cyber Security vision.
  • Create a roadmap focused on outcomes, using data-driven insights to guide decision-making and prioritization efforts.
  • Manage tasks, timelines, and resources to meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Work across a large, cross-matrixed organization to ensure collaboration and alignment of objectives, business goals, and technical capabilities.
  • Partner with technical operations teams to enhance and maintain security data platforms, delivering services smoothly in a global, 24x7 enterprise.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to build technology that advances security data and insights capabilities.
  • Engage with Cyber Security stakeholders to understand needs and develop solutions that support business objectives securely.
  • Serve as a point of contact for engagement and escalations, managing stakeholder expectations and service SLA compliance.
  • Apply a deep understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
  • Mentor engineers and technologists to foster a security mindset within NBCUniversal.
  • 8+ years of related professional experience in Cyber Security.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical product owner, architect, or similar role focused on data-driven products and platforms.
  • Deep technical understanding of data engineering and threat detection concepts such as SIEMs, event graphs, data stream processing, and data visualization.
  • Understanding of the security industry and applicable trends.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse audiences.
  • Experience designing and operating security tools and services at enterprise scale.
  • Ability to engage in technical efforts while maintaining a strategic viewpoint.
  • Understanding of security risk and willingness to make risk-based decisions.
  • Desire to improve processes and challenge the status quo.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline and management tools like Vector, Logstash, Spark, AWS Security Lake, Data Bricks, Snowflake, or Splunk Enterprise.
  • Direct experience building systems in AWS and using devops toolchains such as Git, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Understanding of threat intelligence frameworks like ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
  • Experience orchestrating security tools to improve incident response.
  • Data-driven decision-making and light data analytics skills.
  • Comfort with scripting or software development.
  • Exposure to security compliance frameworks such as ISO27001, PCI/DSS, NIST 800-53.
