About The Position

As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the workflow throughout the shop. Activities include, but are not limited to, reviewing tank repair orders, scheduling mechanics, tracking work orders, and submitting requisitions to purchase parts.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in departmental leadership preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in parts, fleets, and tank trailer service/repair preferred
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership, production methods, and coordination of people and resources

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the scheduling of work through the shop
  • Hire, train and evaluate personnel
  • Build and maintain good customer relationships
  • Complete necessary paperwork for tank repair orders in accurate and timely manner
  • Review completed shop orders before they are closed and invoiced
  • Requisition purchase orders to suppliers
  • Assist in the quotation of repair orders that will be presented to the customer
  • Schedule all mechanics and shop maintenance requirements
  • Project management
  • Other duties as assigned
