Position Overview: We are seeking a Service Operations Manager to lead our service team in the Tampa region. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily service operations, driving financial accountability, developing talent, and ensuring alignment with company-wide strategies and cultural expectations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who brings a disciplined, team-first approach to operations and has the ability to implement process improvements while fostering unity across locations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in service operations, field leadership, or a similar role
  • Strong financial and operational management skills
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of building and developing teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage change, drive results, and align team efforts with company goals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the HVAC, plumbing, or skilled trades industry
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
  • Proficiency with service management or ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day field service operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the transition of small-scale service projects to the Projects Department, ensuring smooth handoffs and ongoing support.
  • Support operational and cultural integration initiatives in line with ISS Mechanical’s “One Hive” philosophy.
  • Conduct daily financial reviews and maintain oversight of billing processes and work order completion.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of company billing frequency and processes.
  • Lead monthly meetings with field supervisors and the Director of Operations focused on work in progress (WIP), billing, and team accountability.
  • Proactively recruit and onboard talent to support team growth and succession.
  • Develop team members through regular coaching, feedback, and delegation of leadership responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with peers across locations to share best practices and leverage internal expertise.
  • Maintain transparent, proactive communication with the Director of Operations and leadership team.
  • Align all major decisions impacting structure or financial outcomes with leadership in advance.
  • Represent company decisions as team-based and avoid reinforcing location-based divisions.
  • Actively reinforce the One Hive culture by promoting unity, collaboration, and shared accountability across locations.
  • Model ISS Mechanical’s values in all interactions, including integrity, ownership, and professionalism.
  • Create a consistent, high-trust environment that supports operational focus and continuous improvement.
