About The Position

Cognizant's Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security Services Practice (CIS) is focused on digital transformation by driving core modernization across various layers. The ServiceNow Solutions Architect will guide and own the delivery of ServiceNow implementations, providing mentorship and thought leadership to both clients and internal resources. This role involves ensuring that new solutions fit into the existing enterprise architecture and facilitating communication between process owners and the C-Suite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferably in Information Technology, Engineering, or the Sciences.
  • Certifications: IT4IT, ITILv4, TOGAF.
  • ServiceNow Certifications: CSA, CAD, ITSM, plus two other CIS-Certifications: ITOM, ITAM, ITBM, CSM, FSM, SecOps/GRC, HRSD, SPM.
  • High-level understanding in scripting and app development, including familiarity with web services, APIs, and mobile application design.
  • Experience in ITSM, ITILv3.
  • Participated in 20+ ServiceNow implementations across various modules.
  • 3+ years of architecting solutions in the ServiceNow platform.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Angular JS, Soap, Rest, JSON, Ajax, CSS, SaSS, HTML5, SP Widgets, and XML.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.

Responsibilities

  • Understand how the technologies available can be used to tackle the business problem.
  • Know what frameworks, platform applications, or technical stacks can be used to create a solution.
  • Recognize how the ServiceNow application will look, what modules will be in scope, and how they will interact with each other.
  • Be cognizant of how the ServiceNow digital solution will scale in the future and how it will be supported.
  • Differentiate between Configuration vs. Customization.
  • Manage Technical Debt.
  • Define the Risk vs. Value Proposition for third-party integrations with ServiceNow.
  • Clearly define how Governance works with respect to the platform and the project.
  • Define Organizational Change Management and its importance in a successful project.
