About The Position

The ServiceNow ITAM Discovery Engineer at Nike is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing ServiceNow Discovery processes to support IT Asset Management and Service Mapping. This role involves working closely with IT teams to ensure effective integration of discovered data within the ServiceNow ecosystem, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing data infrastructure for scalability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (Discovery) or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
• 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow, with 2+ years managing and configuring ServiceNow Discovery.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB modules, SAM Pro, HAM Pro, and CSDM.
• Proficiency in network protocols, data collection, and troubleshooting ServiceNow discovery issues.
• Experience with MID servers, network scanning, and automated asset discovery.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and maintain ServiceNow Discovery for accurate data collection across the organization's network and assets.
• Oversee data quality within the CMDB, ensuring correct classification and representation of discovered assets.
• Develop and implement best practices for automated asset discovery, including defining schedules and optimizing scan efficiency.
• Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within Discovery and CMDB to maintain accurate asset records.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies, generating reports on asset data for audits.
• Maintain thorough documentation of discovery processes and provide training to team members.
