About The Position

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner. Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV Mobile Rig Products. Perform field upgrades of software and hardware to NOV Mobile Rig products and train customers on how to properly operate the system. Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments. Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Utilize safe work habits. FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair Well Servicing equipment. Provide training to other NOV Field Service Technicians. Provide accurate and timely reports to appropriate personnel regarding work progress and output. Work in repair shop when needed. Work in Field when needed (Afterhours and weekend call outs may apply) EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 2-5 years’ Rig/ Well Servicing mechanical experience required. Ability to read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, and basic electrical drawings required. Knowledge of how a drawworks operates and its components. Rebuild and service drawworks, clutches, and any other mobile rig equipment. Must climb up to no more than 120 feet when required. Microsoft Office knowledge is required. JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Must provide transportation from home to the office. Transportation to customer’s location will be provided. Overtime will be required – must be willing & able to work nights, weekend, and on-call 24/7. Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently. Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties. Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with customer and contractor personnel. Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures. Ability to multitask in fast paced environment. Must be willing & able to work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 120 feet.
