About The Position

Reporting to the Dealership Manager, the incumbent will be diagnosing, repairing, wrenching, with a heavy workload of welding, and fabricating at the service facility.

Requirements

  • Able to certify with MIG/ TIG welding on Aluminum and Stainless steel
  • Capable of performing confined space welding
  • Strong fabrication skills (cut, bend, straighten metal)
  • Working knowledge of Tanker Trucks
  • Able to diagnose and repair leaking tanks
  • Able to apply appropriate welding techniques
  • Ensure compliance with Company Safety, OSHA, R-Stamp, and DOT policies/regulations by all personnel
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) affecting Production
  • 5S Standard Executed
  • Clocked into the correct jobs
  • Ensures quality assurance with welding and fabrication on the tank
  • Position requires ability to pass DOL requirements of a grade 4 heavy work physical capacity profile. This includes exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
  • Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
  • Follow U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T) regulations regarding petroleum tanks, trailers, and box vans, as well as the policies found in Seneca Tank's Safety Manual
  • Job holder is required to provide their own work hand tools.
  • Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, job candidates are required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug-screen

Responsibilities

  • Performing welding to ASME code standards
  • Diagnose structural and operational problems
  • Removal and re-installation of parts and systems
  • Fabrication that includes prepping material and creating support braces and brackets
  • Pressure testing unit to ensure DOT compliance of vessel
  • Order and replace failing parts
  • Other duties as assigned
