The ideal candidate will oversee all HVAC service operations, manage a team of technicians, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive growth. This position requires a strong background in HVAC systems, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to quality service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, installation, and maintenance.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with HVAC diagnostic tools and software.
  • EPA Universal
  • Valid Drivers License
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification - NATE, etc. preferred.
  • Technical degree or equivalent training in HVAC preferred.
  • Experience with scheduling/dispatch software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead HVAC service technicians.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor team members to maintain a skilled workforce.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support ongoing professional development.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians as needed.
  • Monitor service tickets and workload distribution to maintain efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Ensure service operations are completed on time, within scope, and to company standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for service customers.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  • Provide accurate estimates and recommendations for repairs, maintenance, and system upgrades.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all service work meets company standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct job site visits and quality checks on completed work.
  • Lead safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Enforce safety procedures and compliance protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and service parts.
  • Coordinate ordering and stocking of necessary materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Manage the service department budget with a focus on profitability and cost control.
  • Review and approve service-related invoices and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, certifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Track service performance metrics and generate operational reports.
  • Provide updates to leadership on service performance and department needs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current on HVAC technology, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with sales, installation, and administrative teams to ensure seamless service operations and customer support.
