FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S., and we are looking for a Service Manager to join our team. The Service Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of service operations within the Service Center. This role involves managing the overall performance of all areas of the Service Center, including profit and loss (P&L), equipment management, personnel administration, and work schedules. The primary objective of the Service Manager is to meet or exceed the annual EBITDA, sales budget, and inventory goals while ensuring that customer expectations for product supply and service are fulfilled. In this position, the Service Manager will oversee all service functions and workspaces in the Service Center. This includes delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the workflow processes, and tracking the progress of all current and pending work assignments. The Service Manager will consistently deliver exceptional customer service experiences by providing knowledge, advice, and addressing any questions or concerns from customers. Additionally, the Service Manager will proactively coach employees to achieve high performance levels and manage the costs and assets of the Service Center to meet financial performance targets. The Service Manager will act as the primary source of information for all service, inventory, and product-knowledge concerns, ensuring that both employees and customers have access to the necessary information. Responsibilities also include managing and updating work orders and invoices to ensure quality and timeliness of work performed, as well as providing a quality check process on all work performed and the accuracy of invoices. Maintaining good relations with vendor representatives, dealers, and subcontractors is essential, as is keeping a safe and clean workspace at all times. The Service Manager will monitor employee work, provide frequent progress reports to improve employee satisfaction and efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and laws. Training new employees in company procedures, including safety and work processes, is also a key responsibility. Staying up to date on industry standards and innovations that can benefit the company is crucial for success in this role.
