About The Position

The Small Projects/Service Manager at Foster Plumbing, a Crete United Company, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a team of service plumbers, managing small-scale plumbing projects, and ensuring quality and efficiency in service delivery. This role requires strong leadership skills, a background in commercial plumbing, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Colorado Journeyworker or Master Plumbing license preferred.
  • Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial plumbing systems.
  • Strong understanding of local plumbing codes and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of plumbers.
  • Experience in managing small-scale projects with a focus on client satisfaction and budget management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with computers, tablets, blueprints, and Microsoft Suite; knowledge of BlueBeam or similar programs is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid plumbing license in Colorado; additional certifications (e.g., backflow certification) a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of service plumbers, ensuring effective scheduling and performance management.
  • Oversee small plumbing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding service and small projects, addressing customer needs.
  • Provide technical support to service plumbers, troubleshooting issues and guiding complex plumbing systems.
  • Produce and evaluate estimates based on job walks, blueprints, and photographs with accuracy.
  • Ensure all work meets local code requirements, company standards, and client specifications through inspections.
  • Manage daily scheduling of service calls and small projects, allocating resources effectively.
  • Help control project costs and material usage to ensure profitability on small projects.
  • Mentor and provide training opportunities for service plumbers to enhance their skills.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and legal regulations related to plumbing work.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, project timelines, inventory, and invoices.
  • Collaborate with the general management team and other departments for smooth project execution.
