There is nothing in our inventory as valuable as the associates who carry our reputation into the marketplace. With the training we provide, the Service Manager helps Arnold to keep that standing. The incumbent is responsible for administering and prioritizing all repair and set up work done for customer machines and internal equipment, supervising associates' performance and communication, managing customer relations and invoicing procedures, and financial management of the service department.

  • Supervise staffing and retention of date training for technicians, dealings with other internal departments, and after-hour assignments.
  • Review all invoicing for timeliness and accuracy
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and with Silver Service commitment.
  • Acquire new business and quote repair costs accurately and timely.
  • Promote safety with education and training while controlling worker's compensation expenses.
  • Supervise service truck fleet maintenance and inventory
  • Resolve all issues with manufacturers including but not restricted to warranties.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate a computer and comprehend various software programs.
  • Skilled in performance management, negotiation, leadership, problem-solving, and motivation.
  • Ability to manage under stress with a Silver Service attitude.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and detail.
  • Knowledge about repair requirements and inventory lines.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and expense control for the service department.
  • Ability to provide adequate training opportunities for self and staff.
  • Knowledgeable about marketing and acquiring new business.
  • two years of higher education
  • three to five years of work-related experience in marketing, customer relations, machine setup and repairs, management and supervision of people and procedures
  • current and clean Class B CDL
