About The Position

Pepboys is seeking a Service Manager in Training who will play a crucial role in achieving sales goals across service labor, parts, and fleet business while providing exceptional customer service. The individual will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of both direct and indirect reports, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. This position requires a strong focus on maintaining shop productivity and operational efficiency, as well as leading and developing a team of associates. The Service Manager in Training will be expected to recruit, hire, and inspire the service selling and back shop teams, ensuring that staffing levels are optimal to meet customer needs and service standards. In this role, the Service Manager will train and coach service associates on the Customer Care Process and ensure that all service staff complete Courtesy Vehicle Inspections (CVIs) and perform proper service repairs. The position also involves monitoring shop productivity and workflow, addressing customer complaints, and ensuring the execution of customer satisfaction programs. The Service Manager will be responsible for cash handling, inventory integrity, and vendor payment practices, as well as building relationships with Fleet service customers. This position is designated as safety-sensitive, requiring adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
