About The Position

Canteen is hiring immediately for a Service Manager | Equipment Maintenance & Repair position located in Mountain View, CA. The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with a pay range of $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually. Canteen combines food, service, and experience backed by industry-leading technology to help companies create a better workplace and connect their employees. The Service Manager will support the efficient operation of the Equipment Maintenance & Repair department, managing work order systems, monitoring building alerts, and handling emergency escalations. This role involves managing hourly technicians who perform maintenance tasks and requires attention to detail, time management, and a focus on user experience and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience within the food service equipment or facilities environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong passion for great food, hospitality, and user experience
  • General understanding and experience with the maintenance of food service equipment
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow all Health & Safety standards
  • Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Maintain a positive attitude under pressure and motivate the team
  • Working knowledge of Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Responsibilities

  • Manage hourly technicians and ensure safety and efficient execution of maintenance duties
  • Support long-term strategy, planning, implementation, and execution of initiatives
  • Utilize digital platforms, including analytics and business intelligence platforms, CMMS, and Telematics
  • Gather, sort, verify, and enter various asset and other data types
  • Monitor and respond to support requests, building alerts, escalations, and tickets
  • Assist with commercial fleet vehicles, drivers, safety, and accident/incident support
  • Assist with day-to-day financial and administrative tasks
  • Run various reporting, write daily recaps, analyze data, create strategies, and present key metrics and outcomes
  • Manage jobs and escalations with third-party vendors
  • Provide in-field support, assist team with access issues, quality assurance, and problem solving
  • Support fleet operations through hands-on leadership, technical support, training, and guidance
