About The Position

SAP Service Line Specialist Manager- North America - Energy and Utilities (EU) ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES The SLSM will help Cognizant to build our EU business further with existing tier-one Technology clients, who already benefit from a number of Cognizant engagements. The role will also be focused on opening new client relationships and selling the end-to-end SAP capabilities of Cognizant as part of transformation initiatives, managed services, business process outsourcing and other Cognizant offerings. Specifically, the responsibilities of the SAP MELU leader are as follows: Manage and oversee team of SAP Service Line Specialists (SLS) Increase SAP sales, revenue and profit at our top tier clients for Cognizant SAP offerings and solutions Work with Cognizant new account team for opening new logos Work with Cognizant Client Account Partners and their teams to deliver success Lead team members engaged across various accounts and leverage the required skills from across the broader SAP organizations. Lead the SAP Sales Team regarding: · Responding to RFP's, RFI's, customer requests, etc. · Creating statements of work, change orders, etc · Build a strong client relationship · Work with the SAP sales team and account team · Work with Cognizant delivery team to deliver successfully for clients Is experienced with sales and has a proven track record within the SAP ecosystem Understands the SAP processes, products and modules that are relevant for EU Has a perspective on and can clearly articulate the benefits of implementing SAP solutions Knows SAP and has worked closely with SAP sales team members in the past Keeps pace with industry trends and can openly discuss with internal and external resources Strengthen Cognizant relationships with the Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering leaders focused to enhance mind, market, and increase sales of SAP-related offerings and solutions

Requirements

  • 15+ years sales experience in SAP and Consulting focused on Energy and Utility clients
  • A strong understanding of the Energy and Utility industry, challenges & opportunities
  • A strong understanding of the various functions in Energy and Utility companies
  • An in-depth understanding and experience Solutioning and selling the following: · Customer Experience: SAP Service Cloud, Embedded Customer, · ERP: S/4 HANA, SAP ECC, Industry Solutions for Energy and Utilities · Analytics: SAP BW, Native HANA, Business Objects, SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud · Data: Big Data, IoT, AI / RPA, Blockchain · Others: RISE, GROW, Concur, Ariba
  • Extensive business development track record
  • A sound understanding of disruption in the industry due to new entrants
  • Experience with large, complex product sales and Implementation
  • Excellent consulting and communication skills, including the ability to solution and sell strategic consulting work, business cases, roadmaps, etc.
  • Strong People management experience
  • Is experienced with sales and has a proven track record within the SAP ecosystem
  • Understands the SAP processes, products and modules that are relevant for EU
  • Has a perspective on and can clearly articulate the benefits of implementing SAP solutions
  • Knows SAP and has worked closely with SAP sales team members in the past
  • Keeps pace with industry trends and can openly discuss with internal and external resources
