About The Position

This position is focused on ensuring compliance with state and local regulatory license requirements for installation services. The role involves maintaining required general contractor and trade licenses while building strong relationships with state and local officials and trade organizations. The individual will oversee field compliance activities and conduct jobsite quality and compliance audits of Service Providers.

Requirements

  • Must reside in the state(s) specified in the job posting.
  • Florida's General Contracting License and/or NASCLA Accreditation.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction or construction project management, including oversight of subcontractors.
  • Organizational skills and knowledge of handheld technology.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or similar CRM.
  • Proficiency in Quickbase.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed goals and objectives in a remote position.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to review, understand, and provide oversight and edit construction contracts.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field.
  • May require certification.
  • Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of all installation jobs performed by Service Providers within assigned categories and geographic areas.
  • Lead decision-making efforts in all matters related to the building contractor business and represent renovations, value-added services, and specialty organizations.
  • Oversee Service Provider adherence to state and local contractor requirements, including licensure, permitting, inspections, and trade standards.
  • Conduct field compliance activities such as jobsite quality audits and on-site supervision.
  • Obtain and maintain general contractor or trade licenses on behalf of the company, including completing required exams and continuing education.
  • Serve as the primary decision-maker for resolving customer complaints related to installations, including approval of customer satisfaction resolutions.
  • Engage with state and local officials or trade organizations to address and resolve compliance-related matters.
  • Perform data analysis to identify areas of risk or non-compliance and recommend process improvements to the compliance team.
