About The Position

The Service Leader at Chipotle is a pivotal role that focuses on maintaining a positive customer experience by ensuring that safe and quality food is prepared and served. This position requires the Service Leader to be actively engaged in the restaurant operations, working on their feet while clocked in, except during breaks. The Service Leader is responsible for overseeing the restaurant crew, ensuring they are well-trained and providing excellent customer service. Additionally, the Service Leader must maintain a clean and organized line, ensuring that all line equipment is functioning properly. In this role, the Service Leader will follow Chipotle's policies and procedures while also taking on several key responsibilities. These include ensuring that great tasting, high-quality food is served, resolving any food quality issues, and supporting food safety protocols. This involves monitoring hand washing and glove changes, keeping track of time and temperature on the line, and ensuring compliance with the Daily Food Safety Checklist. The Service Leader will also assist in resolving customer incidents to ensure a positive dining experience. Moreover, the Service Leader will be responsible for monitoring crew breaks, shift changes, and line schedules, as well as developing and cross-training front-of-house crew members. They will assist with performance reviews for crew members and help develop future Service Leaders. Administrative duties such as banking, cash handling, and maintaining office supplies will also be part of the role. Ensuring that the proper quantity of supplies is available and that office equipment is in working order is essential for the smooth operation of the restaurant.
