To assist with managing operations of the service department and supervising service department employees. Responsible for assisting with operations, profitability, and customer satisfaction in the service department. This job has direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Assists Service Manager as needed Answers technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs Oversees service orders Assists in diagnosing vehicle problems Maintains service porter’s duties and responsibilities Oversees administration of warranty claims Oversees training and supervising of service department employees Works with upper management and Human Resources to make service department hiring and discipline decisions Sets schedules and assigns tasks to service department employees Maintains good working relationship with factory(s) Attends required manager meetings Maintains effective employee relations Maintains CSI at or above Company standards Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area Participates in required training Follows Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values Complies with Company policies and procedures Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
