2026 Summer Service Integration Internship
About The Position
This role supports Stellarus and related activities within the Ascendiun Family of Companies, as appropriate. The Integration and Interoperability Platform team delivers modular, reusable, and secure integration capabilities that accelerate product development, ensures interoperability across systems, and supports enterprise-wide data exchange. The platform enables self-service access to integration services, promotes standardization, and simplifies connectivity across internal and external applications. The Service Integration Summer Intern will report to the Service Integration Manager. In this role you will collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable, and high-performing automation solutions that will facilitate and enable development teams with their API development activities. Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- Must reside in the state of California for the duration of the internship
- Understanding of SQL, RESTful APIs, and data serialization formats (JSON, XML)
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and Git version control system
- Programming experience with Python, C#, and/or Java
- Strong problem-solving skills and interest in automation and platform engineering
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to Redis or other caching technologies is a plus
- Familiarity with Azure cloud platform is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy platform features and automation solutions using cloud-native technologies and modern frameworks with a focus on Azure API Management, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Cache for Redis, and/or FHIR platform
- Configure and optimize Azure API Management instances to meet performance, security, and scalability requirements
- Configure and enhance the APIM Developer Portal for improved developer experience and onboarding
- Enhance CI/CD pipeline automation using Bitbucket Pipelines for API deployments and related services
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing integration solutions
- Document technical processes and best practices for platform components and automation workflows
