About The Position

This role centers on the installation, maintenance, and repair of car wash equipment, requiring a blend of technical skills and customer interaction. Key responsibilities include unloading, inspecting, and staging new equipment on job sites, followed by the complete installation and removal of old units. A significant part of the job involves preventive maintenance and troubleshooting complex issues—chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic—utilizing diagnostic analysis to perform necessary repairs. The position also demands a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, a commitment to superior customer service, and the ability to maintain tools and accurately report information.

Requirements

  • Requires 1-3 years related experience
  • Previous experience with Car Wash equipment
  • Strong Mechanical and Plumbing skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
  • Understanding of PLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three-phase power
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined

Responsibilities

  • Unloading and staging of new equipment on job sites
  • Inspecting equipment prior to installation and document any damage occurred during shipment
  • Installation of new car wash equipment
  • Removal of old car wash equipment
  • Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner
  • Requires good communication skills
  • Provides superior customer service when interfacing with customers
  • Knowledge of proper use of power tools, i.e. hammer drills, grinder
  • Accurately perceives information from others
  • Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely and accurately
  • Performs periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch
  • Responsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies.
  • Performs diagnostic analysis
  • Performs repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary
