About The Position

Rogers Motors in Hermiston Oregon has an opening for a Service Porter. Rogers Motors has been a family-owned business supporting our local community for over 50 years. The Service Porter interacts with customers, assists service advisors, moves vehicles, ensures the service drive is clean, and is instrumental in delivering an outstanding first impression and high-quality service experience for our customers.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers who arrive in our Service department and direct them to the appropriate personnel
  • Shuttle customers to the various places
  • Service with a Smile - Always courteous to customers!
  • Assist other departments and internal employees as necessary including washing, wiping, or vacuuming vehicles
  • Make sure questionnaire or other service documents are folded properly and on dash in customer vehicles after service
  • Hang keys up in service write up area
  • Ensure service drive and service department is clean including emptying trash, sweeping/cleaning areas, and assist in emptying oil catches
  • Lock cars when service is complete
  • Check rental cars for cleanliness, fuel & lock up
  • Clean hoses & light cords
  • Sweep each technician's stall when empty
  • Empty inside and outside trash drums
  • Spot-clean painted walls
  • Assist Technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs
  • Pick up rags or other service items and return to proper locations
  • Run errands as directed by Service Manager and Service Advisors (work related only)
  • Wash & vacuum shuttle and rental vehicles
  • Various other tasks as assigned
