About The Position

The Service Foreman position serves as the direct supervisor of the HVAC Service Technicians, ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction. This role involves working closely with the Service Coordinator to schedule repair and service work for the Service Department while maintaining customer records. The Service Foreman is responsible for overseeing the quality of work performed by technicians, addressing concerns, and providing necessary training and coaching. Additionally, the position requires establishing and maintaining relationships with high-profile customers, resolving service issues, and providing technical support to both customers and technicians. The Service Foreman will also conduct annual reviews of technicians, implement training schedules, assist the Sales Department with job estimations, coordinate job setups, and ensure safety compliance on job sites.

Requirements

  • Experience in HVAC service and supervision of technicians.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Technical knowledge to support technicians on difficult jobs.
  • Ability to conduct performance reviews and implement training plans.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of the Service Technicians, reviewing service tickets and quality of work.
  • Address concerns with Service Technicians and provide training and coaching as needed.
  • Responsible for recruitment and retention of qualified technicians.
  • Visit high profile customers and establish monthly contact to ensure expectations are met.
  • Resolve customer service issues and meet with customers to address performance or billing concerns.
  • Provide technical support for technicians on difficult jobs and work in the field as needed.
  • Perform annual reviews of technicians and advise the Service Manager on performance.
  • Document and track technician training progress and implement training schedules.
  • Assist the Sales Department with job walks and estimating costs for jobs.
  • Set up and coordinate large or out of town jobs, ensuring correct materials are ordered.
  • Stage equipment and ensure all parts are ready for scheduled jobs.
  • Ensure all project-specific safety requirements are met.
